Why do we do what we do

We’ve been there too.

We know how hard it is to lose an animal you love. I’ve lost pets of my own, as well as my horse, and I know just how much they become a part of your life. They’re there every day, in the little routines, the quiet moments and all the memories you make along the way.

When they’re gone, you really notice that space they leave behind.

I started this business because I wanted to create something that could help keep those memories close. Our candles are made to remember the pets we’ve loved, the years we had with them and the part they’ll always have in our lives.

It’s a simple way to remember them and keep their memory close.

Because losing a pet is losing family.

Hi, I am Meagan!
I started MacraMEGAU back in 2021 when the peak of covid was in full swing. Being a Veterinary Nurse by trade, I was looking for a way to support grieving clients who had recently euthanised their animal.
The love for being crafty and keeping busy along side the love of glitter combined itself into what we have today, MacraMEGAU.
I run my small business in a cozy town called Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
There are a few extra people that you will see along my journey however there is one that stands out from the rest. He has 4 legs, a stumpy tail and a loving smile. His name is Rupert and he is a big part of MacraMEGAU.
3 Things about MacraMEGAU you might not know.
1. I work as a Veterinary Nurse, more specifically a full-time Oncology Nurse. Working closely with clients who experience grief encouraged me to branch out and create our PET MEMORIAL CANDLE.
2. We use Bio-degradable glitters in our candles.
3. We LOVE supporting other Australian Small Businesses.
My Goals for MacraMEGAU is to provide support for grieving clients who have recently euthanised/lost their pets. I support multiple Veterinary Clinics around Australia offering comfort in the hardest times.
Another goal is to keep attending markets all around NSW, sharing experience and candle knowledge. We have some pretty exciting festivals and markets coming up so keep up to date with us on our instagram!!
